e-Inclusion and its barriers

The technological and digital revolution is being experienced in our society in a transversal way, affecting all types of sectors, jobs and even education. However, there are still barriers to its development:

  • Infrastructure problems.

  • Restrictions on access to technologies, services and devices.

  • Limitations in the development of digital skills in the rural population due to educational and structural obstacles.

  • Distance between technologies and their adjustment to the contexts of application in the rural environment.

  • Rural women and youth are left behind to a greater extent from the benefits of technologies.

The DIGITAL RURAL GAME consortium joins the fight against digital exclusion in the rural world, contributing to break down the barrier of digital empowerment in the rural world.
